Glimpses of Cape scenery
It's great to be a tourist in one's own country and we took my son's 21st birthday as an opportunity to show his mates a bit of the city. This is the view of Cape Town one can expect on arriving in South Africa's most beautiful city.

On the way to Stellenbosch - the wine farm area around Cape Town - there is the Cape Town film studios, so we grabbed a photo under the Universal Studios sign. In Stellenbosch where my son is studying engineering, the wine farms are fantastic and a wine-tasting or two or three is compulsory.Thursday, February 14, 2013

Awesome Flying trip to Cape Town
The four of us jumped in our two aeroplanes and did a 10-day round trip that took in the southernmost tip of Africa, south of Cape Town, then on to the Cape peninsular, Stellenbosch and then back to Durban. Will post a few of the Cape pics here over the next day or two including the great Shisa Men's resort in Tulbach.

Amsterdam in Cape Town
We spent a great few days in Cape Town, mainly to visit my son who is studying at Stellenbosch University, but also to visit some of the awesome gay venues in the city. We stayed at Amsterdam Guesthouse one of the more established men-only guesthouses, nestled at the foothills of table mountain.![]() |

Well recommended for a stay in Cape Town, and the Guesthouse also has a sauna and steam room next to the pool area so you can meet up with the other guys staying there.

Cape country here we come
It's great to get out of the city for a few days and this weekend we are off to Shisa Guest farm in the Tulbach area, about 120 mins drive north of Cape Town city.... for some men in the bush... ha ha.
Then we will be back for 2 nights at Amsterdam, the awesome men-only guesthouse we visited last year on the slopes of Table Mountain. Will load some more hot pics after the weekend so you can enjoy the view too.

1 Belvedere - Cape Town sophistication
In Cape Town to meet fellow gay guesthouse owners is Llewellyn (left) of Durban View Guesthouse with Rob (right) of 1 Belvedere - a sophisticated men-only guesthouse at the foothills of Table Mountain.
The grand old house is superbly furnished and is owned by Charl and Rob, Dutch guys who settled in Cape Town and are one of the oldest established gay guesthouses in the city.
